The cave is full of speleothems, which are rocks made from water dripping through the limestone rock from which the cave is made. There were a few tight squeezes, but I had a blast exploring this hidden world!
This week, I presented my research at a conference for South African scientists hosted by the Southern African Society For Quaternary Research. My presentation went great, and it was so much fun to share what I have been working on. My favorite part was meeting lots of other scientists who I became friends with and will work with in the future.
