People in the U.K. speak mainly English, just as we do, but with British accents! Try imitating a British accent the next time you hear one on T.V. or social media... I think it's pretty fun!
The euro (€) is the standard currency for most European countries, so I used euros in both Paris and Italy. However, in the U.K., people use the Great British Pound (£). One pound is equal to about $1.30 in U.S. money, but it changes slightly every single day.
An average bottle of water is about £1.50 - £2, which is about $1.95 - $2.60.
My best meal this week came from Eatopia, which is a Korean takeout place down the street from my school. I got kimchi rice with sweet and chili chicken, which I know isn't British, but any food is better than British food!
Lately, I've really liked Gracie Abrams' new album, but I always come back to Noah Kahan and Taylor Swift. I've also been listening to a lot of country music artists. My favorites are Morgan Wallen, Dan and Shay and Luke Combs. Country music is a very American music genre, so if anyone ever asks you about your culture, don't be afraid to talk about country!
