Our News

What activity was the most fun this week?:

On Thursday after our classes, my friends and I went to eat some crepes and walk around the Latin Quarter. The owners of the Crêperie were Argentinian, so it was great talking to them. Argentinians have an amazing accent and good taste.

What did I read this week?:

I wish I could say more than something university-oriented. These weeks have been full of studying since we are already in the final stage of the semester. Something great about studying abroad is that you get to experience other ways of teaching. Other perspectives. It is awesome how you can compare a class like U.S. Foreign Policy taught by a person from the United States and taught by a person from France. To get to know other perspectives is a privilege one cannot waste.

What games or sports did I play this week?:

This semester, I started MMA (mixed martial arts) classes at my university, and it is the best choice I could have ever made. I enjoy every second of it, since it is the only moment when I don't think about anything else; I clear my mind and end up relaxed.

Other news from this week:

Something not too great about this week is that on the coldest day I went to turn on my electric heater, and it wasn't working, so I froze that night. Since it was a Saturday, I had to wait until Monday for the landlord to send someone. Somehow, the cold hits more when you are abroad, but you must learn to adjust to it!
