Our News

What music did I listen to this week?:

I listened to a lot of music this week, mostly music by The Beatles and other bands from the 1960s and 1970s. I like to listen to slow music on rainy days, and happier music on sunny days to match the mood! Soon, I’ll start listening to Christmas music too!

What activity was the most fun this week?:

This week I got to see a musical with my students! It was a version of Oliver Twist, a famous book in English, meant for students learning English. It was awesome. I was happy to be there and help my students understand more of the show. We also got to go shopping and have lunch in Reggio Calabria, the big city where the musical was performed. My students and I ate at Burger King, it is very similar to Burger King in the United States but with a few more things on the menu!

What did I read this week?:

This week I read a lot of the book Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. It is one of my favorite books, and I always read it in the fall. I haven’t finished it yet.

What games or sports did I play this week?:

I didn’t play any sports this week, but I did play word games with my students when we were on the bus to Reggio Calabria. I tried out some tongue twisters in Italian and they were hard! Can you say “tre tigri (teegree) contro tre tigri” (three tigers against three tigers) three times fast?

Other news from this week:

This week there was a holiday in my town honoring their patron saint. A patron saint is a religious figure that represents specific things and has a special story that makes them important in the Catholic faith.
