The main language here is English, just like back home in California. However, there is a language native to Ireland called Gaeilge [gwayl - guh], or Gaelic [gayl - ick], which many Irish people also speak.
The currency here is called the Euro. This currency is used in 21 countries across Europe, including France, Spain, Italy and more.
A bottle of water typically costs about one Euro (€1). However, if you are at different stores in more touristy locations (such as the airport), it is usually more expensive, ranging up to about four Euros (€4).
The best meal I have eaten this week was a homemade Irish breakfast that my aunt cooked for me this weekend. We had fresh baked brown bread, black pudding, sausage rolls, eggs and more. The best part of the meal was eating and spending time with my loved ones.
I listened to several types of music this week, mostly on my walk to class. The majority of it is traditional Irish music at night with friends and events put on by our university.
