The main language spoken in my area is Luganda, but in Uganda there are over 45 different languages spoken. Could you imagine if almost every state in the U.S. spoke a different language?
In Luganda, webale means thank you. You can add the word nyo, which means very much. My favorite part is that you can add as many nyos as you want! For example, webale nyo nyo nyo means thank you very, very, very much.

The money used here is called Ugandan shillings. There are bills in 1,000, 2,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, and 50,000 shillings.
The cost of a bottle of water is usually between 500 and 1,000 shillings, which is about 25 cents.
