At home, I've been making a lot of fried rice, which is super easy to throw together with my leftover rice, frozen vegetables, onion and some soy sauce. I eat a lot of meals with rice, so I end up making fried rice often.
I absolutely love music, listening to it while I travel and use public transportation, and making playlists! Here are some of the songs I've been listening to a lot lately:
"Bros" by Wolf Alice
"Just Can't Get Enough" by Depeche Mode (Depeche Mode has a really famous picture that was taken in Prague! People go to recreate it all of the time.)
"Modern Girl" by Sleater-Kinney
"Don't Look Back In Anger" by Oasis
I went thrifting (shopping for secondhand, or used, items) during one of my study breaks because one of the thrift stores was really cheap. There are a couple of locations of this store called "Genesis," and they display the prices of all items outside of the store! The one closest to my apartment had prices under five dollars per item, so I figured I'd take a peek inside.
I am currently reading a book called Midaq Alley (pronounced "mi-DOCK") for my class on the modern Middle East (the region that borders the eastern edge of Europe). The book takes place in Egypt during World War II (1940s), when the British Army was stationed (assigned to work) there, and follows the journey of a girl named Hamida.
