It's a Georgian dish which features cheese and egg are filled inside a freshly baked bread. You eat it by breaking off the crispy crust, dipping it into the mix. It's very savory and unique!
This week, I listened a lot to Nosaj Thing's semi-recent album, Verses GT. Nosaj Thing is an Asian American music producer in Los Angeles, known for his ethereal electronic and instrumental hip-hop music. He's produced for Kendrick Lamar and Flying Lotus. Nosaj Thing is particularly special to me because I went to school in Los Angeles and I love supporting local artists.
This week I attended a music and dance improvisation session with my friend, Jamichael. At this session, musicians and dancers come together and communicate through improvisation (creating movement without preparation) of our bodies or our music. I played my guitar and piano for the dancers there, while Jamichael played his flute!
This week I've been reading a novel called The Book of Form and Emptiness by Ruth Ozeki. It's a beautiful fictional story about a 12 year old boy with autism who can hear objects speak to him. I find it really heartwarming, sad and a powerful commentary on what we choose to value in society.
Because of the UN conference, I didn't have much time to play games this week. However, near my apartment is a large soccer field where I often see children playing from day to night. One of these weeks I'll be sure to join them! Fußball (soccer in America) is a huge past time in Germany.
