They were college students from Bengaluru, too, but they were from a different school. We talked about national soccer teams and American basketball. I enjoy meeting people this way.
This week, I mainly did assigned reading for the "Caste, Class and Gender" course I'm taking here. Something that I've noticed during my time here in India is how many men are outside at any given moment! The only place where it was clear that there were just as many women as men has been around my school.
I played no sports or games this week. I did however watch a lot of Indian television with some friends. Our place happened to have a working television, so we figured we'd check it out. We watched reality TV shows about planning Indian weddings.
People in Puducherry were very nice and willing to help. We had more difficulties communicating with the people here, but they always seemed to be one step ahead of us and would help us accordingly. Thank you so much ya'll!
