The students had mixed knowledge about the United States. Many of the students (and many Koreans in general) really like former-President Obama. They say that they see Donald Trump on the news a lot, although they don't always understand the stories. My students also really like American movies, especially Marvel movies. They also know the bigger cities in America (New York, Chicago, L.A.) and wonder what they are like.
Chae young asked, "Do you like K-pop? What do American kids like to do? Is bullying a problem in the United States?" Jun seo wanted to know, "What's your favorite food? What do Americans think about South Korea?" Lastly, Beom jung asked, "What is the best food in America?" and "Is school in America fun? What do you like and not like about it?"
