Sawadeeka (Hello)! My name is Paige, but some of you may remember me as Ms. Fulkerson from Camp Invention over the summer. I am so excited to be sharing my year in Thailand with you!
I am from Carmel, Indiana. Before living there, I was born in Florida and went to elementary school in North Carolina. When I was in elementary school, I spent a lot of my time dancing and playing tennis, and those are both hobbies that I still enjoy doing today. In Thailand, I dance every week by going to Zumba classes at my gym. I haven’t played tennis since being in Thailand, but a lot of people here play another racket sport, badminton, and I am excited to play with them one day soon!
I also love school and learning. I always loved going to school in elementary, middle and high school, so when I went to college, I decided that I wanted to become a teacher. For college, I went to Purdue University (Boiler Up!) and got a lot of practice learning how to be a great teacher for all of my future students. In addition, outside of teaching, being a student at Purdue also gave me the chance to study abroad two times! Study abroad is a program where you get to travel to a different country to take classes.
In May 2022, I went to a country called Morocco, which is in northern Africa.
