Imagine building a temple over 7,200 feet high on the peak of a mountain with no cranes, forklifts, or modern tools, a structure that still stands today after countless years. Now THAT is a true engineering feat.
So my conclusion is that STEM does in fact provide a lot of conveniences for the modern society and helps improve our quality of life, but it is not something new. STEM has been with us throughout history and it is just now that we’ve put a name to it. The most exciting thing to me is to discover what the STEM field holds for us in the future!
