Tea - A Chinese Tradition

Is this tradition connected to its environment? How?:

In the past, tea leaves were abundant in many different parts of China, and they became incorporated into Chinese households because of their many different medicinal properties. Traditional Chinese medicine utilizes plants that heal many ailments, from a common cold to smelly feet. Also, tea is loaded with antioxidants that are beneficial to a person’s overall well-being and quality of life.

Over time, trade between the eastern and western parts of the world grew, and tea became a major export product for China. In fact, tea leaves remain an important export product for China today. The financial importance of tea leaves to the Chinese economy also adds to its popularity.
