During my stay this semester in Osaka, I have tried a lot of dishes. One in particular is called takoyaki. It is a traditonal food from the Kansai area in Japan. Many locals eat and make this dish. It's so well-loved that people go out their way to hold parties just to eat it!
Takoyaki is a fried ball-shaped dish cooked with octopus and dough. It can also be made with other ingrediants such as kimchee, cheese, sausage and green onions. It is a soft bite and very delicious.
When I first tried takoyaki, I thought it was amazing! When you see it, it is really pretty and plated well. Once you bite into it, it is crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside and melts in your mouth. There is so much flavor, but make sure you poke it with your chopstick. Otherwise, you might burn your mouth.
