Traveler Bio

Hello! My name is Olamiposi Samo, but you can call me Posi (sounds like poe-zee)! I am 21 years old and I was born in Nigeria, a beautiful country in West Africa. I moved to the United States when I was three years old and have lived in Georgia ever since. I am currently a senior at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where I study psychology and sociology. Psychology is the science of the mind, and sociology is the science of the world we live in. My dream is to become a therapist, which is someone who helps people understand their emotions and gives them tools to manage daily mental and emotional challenges.

I wanted to do something different during my final year of college, so I decided to spend a semester abroad in the United Kingdom! I will be taking more psychology and sociology classes at the University of Manchester, but I am also looking forward to taking other interesting classes, like mental health and criminology. I'm so excited to explore the beautiful city of Manchester, and to also travel around Europe with my friends. I'm able to have this amazing experience thanks to scholarships from Emory University and the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. I look forward to taking you guys on all of my adventures and I hope you enjoy!
