Hello everyone! My name is Priscilla Riggs, but that's a bit tricky to say, so my students call me Ms. P! I'm 19 years old and from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. I study English, how to teach English to people around the world, marketing, and global business at Western Kentucky University.
While growing up, my family faced many challenges. I did not always believe I could do big things. When I was a teenager, my mom, sister, and I moved to my grandparents' house, and my life changed forever. I started to follow my dreams again and work hard to achieve my goals with support from Hardin County Schools. I had the chance to visit classrooms where kids were learning English as their second language. This experience helped me realize how much I love teaching and learning how people communicate in different languages. Now, I'm working hard to learn as much as possible to teach English in South Korea one day before eventually using my business and language skills to work for a Korean company.
This spring, I will study abroad in Seoul, South Korea! I'm excited to explore the country, meet new people, and have you accompany me on this digital exchange journey! Next time, let's lean into South Korean culture and greet each other in Korean. We will say 안녕하세요 (an-nyeong ha-se-yo), which means hello!
