Thank you so much for following me along this amazing journey so far in South Korea!
I’ve been in Korea for 15 weeks now, and I still have 35 more to go. Please feel free to reach out to me any time if you have any questions or just want to talk! I’m here to help you all year long (even after your school year ends!)
A lot of people ask me how I ended up in South Korea, especially when I didn’t have any personal or familial ties to this country. Well, let me explain... When I was in school, I loved learning new things and challenging myself to see how much I could grow as a learner and as a person. That curiosity naturally transitioned into me becoming interested in discovering the world. So, I then started to watch a lot of travel videos on YouTube and documentaries about different cultures, history, nature and food from around the world.
At the same time, I always knew I wanted to do something to help others, so in middle and high school, I started volunteering in my community. I was especially interested in subjects like history, politics and geography, and this eventually led me to study international relations in college.
