The week started cloudy and rainy. Despite that, it has been around 70-80 degrees! I was lucky this week because it wasn't raining too badly on my way to and from school. Japan is very humid, so even if it's not very hot, it feels like I'm soaked in water as soon as I leave my room in the morning.
It's finally gotten warm enough for all the bees, caterpillars, spiders and beatles to start coming out. I love seeing butterflys in the morning as I walk to school. The birds start singing every morning around 4:00 or 5:00 a.m. This is a bit early for me, personally, but it's a great sound to wake up to.
On my way to tea ceremony class, I saw a beautifully-colored caterpillar. It had long, spiky hair, a white stripe, and little red speckles. I have loved caterpillars ever since I was a child. I wonder what kind of butterfly it will turn into?!
