Hi! My name is Raevyn Walker. It is so nice to meet you! I am 21 years old and in my final year at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA).
My father works in the military, so my family relocated often during my childhood. I have lived in multiple different cities in Virginia, California, and even Singapore. My time living in different places influenced my love for traveling, learning about other cultures, and eating new foods.
In college, I am studying political science with a concentration in international relations. I have always wanted to learn more about other political systems while actually living in another country. This is why I am so excited to begin my adventure in London, United Kingdom this spring. I applied for and received the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, which has helped me make this study abroad opportunity possible. I am enrolled in a class on the British Parliament and will have the pleasure of being immersed in English culture while visiting places like the Palace of Westminister, where government proceedings take place.
I cannot wait to see where my journey will take me, and I am so happy that I get to share it with you!
