The need is being met, but in subtle ways. I say subtle because I would have had no clue any of this was going on, if my friend had not come to research, and had not introduced me to this whole world of art. Now that I've learned more, I see it everywhere. There are galleries and small museums and events all over Tetouan. But it's impossible to know about them unless you know someone involved. Even the modern art museum that I have visited is a beautiful space; but I've been three times and each time, the guard has had to turn the lights on for me because I'm the only visitor.
