Our News

What music did I listen to this week?:

This week I have been listening to many of my favorite bands and singers, including  Imagine Dragons, The Lumineers, Ben Rector, Seafret, Need to breathe, Twenty One Pilots, Kodaline and Bastille. I also enjoy listening to the wide variety of talented buskers in Exeter playing music on their guitars, violins and other instruments.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

One day, I went to eat at a Chinese buffet with one of my friends who is also an international exchange student. It was fun to discuss with someone else from America about what it is like to live in the U.K. Also, the food was good and it reminded me of the Chinese buffets I would go to in Mississippi.

What did I read this week?:

This week, I have been mostly reading for my classes. I have read many philosophy articles by Plato, Hume and a few others for my philosophy and history modules. I also just read the New York Times article "This is 18 Around the World- Through Girls' Eyes". It is interesting to see the different ways that girls near my age live, and one of the interviewees is even from Mississippi.

What games or sports did I play this week?:

I did not really play any sports or games this week, but I did do a fair bit of walking. I even hiked nearly 20 miles on the day I visited Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.

Other news from this week:

This week has been fairly uneventful which is probably a sign that I am settling into life in the UK. I did get to tour Exeter Cathedral though and it was beautiful.
