Здраво! Zdravo! Hello! My name is Reade. I am 22 years old and I was born and raised in Albany, New York. Some of my favorite things to do include cooking, playing rugby, skiing, study languages, and traveling. I spent my childhood helping my mother run her political campaigns for public office. This inspired my love for politics and public policy. I attended a boarding school in Connecticut for high school and then attended Princeton University for college.
In college, I studied international finance, European politics, and Slavic languages. I speak Russian, Polish, Serbian, and Croatian. I also explored a lot of new places in college. I lived in Russia for two months, and I lived in Washington, D.C. for six months, during which I worked in the White House. My classes and experiences inspired me to conduct research on how buying or building something in another country influences that countries choices. It's sort of like how the promise of an allowance from your parents might influence you to do the dishes or take out the trash!
As a Fulbright Scholar in Belgrade, Serbia, I get to keep going with my research. I'm currenty working at the Belgrade Center for Security Policy, and when I'm not working, I'm off experiencing Serbian culture. What do you know about Serbia? What are you curious to learn? Join me and we'll explore together!
