Traveler Bio

Hallo (Hello)! My name is Rebecca Liu. I am 22 years old and grew up in Florence, South Carolina. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, running, and rock climbing. I also love traveling with friends and trying new food! I started learning German when I was 12 years old because I was interested in the large intersection between Germany and scientific advancements. I moved to North Carolina four years ago to study Biology, Chemistry, and German at Duke University. I graduated in May 2024 and am currently in Tübingen, Germany for a year through a Fulbright Research Grant. Tübingen is a university town located near Germany's southwest border, not far from the famous Black Forest. I am studying how age can impact offspring health and development in P. pacificus, a small worm. After this year of research and cultural exchange, I hope to attend medical school to become a physician. I am so excited to share my experiences with you while I live in and explore Germany!
