Q: What is something that you want Americans to know about Taiwan?
A: I want Americans to know that Taiwanese people are really friendly.
Q: If you could ask American students one question, what would it be?
A: Have you heard of Taiwan before?
Q: Why did you decide to study English and eventually become an English teacher?
A: That is actually a really interesting story. When I was small, my mother liked to play English records even though she didn’t understand the words. I always remember the strange voices and beautiful music that played from the record player. Since I wanted to understand what the voices were singing about, I started to learn English. Once I graduated from university, I wanted to find a job using English and since every student in Taiwan must study English, there were a lot of teaching jobs available.
