Hello! I am Ross Hunnicutt, a civil engineering student at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. I will be traveling to Bangalore India to learn about waste collection centers in Bangalore. I grew up in the Seattle area and lived in Washington State my whole life, so I'm very excited to embark on this international adventure.
After high school, I worked on farms for a non-profit organization for several years and discovered a passion for helping others. I went back to school three years ago to study civil engineering. While learning the technology behind building roads, bridges, buildings and treating water, I have volunteered in communities in Kenya and Nicaragua to help create water supplies and build toilets. Now I am excited to share my journey to India to learn about waste collection and explore some of the challenges in one of the world's biggest cities!
