Art and Education Much like New York City, you will also see that one of the many charms of Amman lies in the street art. Building facades and other walls are canvases for graffiti and outstanding murals made by both Jordanians and international artists, making the city a true open air museum of visual arts. In Amman, art is something created by the people, for the people. It becomes a vessel to commemorate, honor and remember certain cultural symbols and concepts that represent Jordanian society, culture and identity. In addition to the visual art that one can see, there are also numerous exhibitions, concerts, movie screenings, galleries and community centers where people come together to engage with and immerse themselves in all kinds of creative work that is produced in the region.
