I had a typical South Indian dish called thali. The food sits on a round metal platter, or on a green banana leaf. There are many different types of curries served in small bowls along with rice, bread called roti and a type of Indian sweet. The flavors are so yummy and the best part is eating with my hands! Do you like eating with your hands, too?
I listened to some mantras, some jazz, and some folk music. On my trip to Hampi, I also heard priests singing mantras together at a temple. They've been singing nonstop for 12 whole years (they keep cycling out who is singing)!
I really enjoyed visited a temple in Hampi called Hanuman temple. We climbed 500 steps to get to the top and there was a beautiful view. I met so many friendly people along the way. At the top of the temple, some locals gave me a bunch of yummy sweets to try.
