안녕 (annyeong)! Hi!
My name is Sandy, and I am from San Jose, California. I am 20 years old, and I am studying public health and economics at Santa Clara University. I am the first person in my family to go to college, so I am very thankful for the opportunity to study economics at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea!
In my free time, I like to go out to eat and drink boba with my family and friends! I also like to dance and learn new dances from YouTube. I learned hip-hop in high school, and I enjoy learning K-Pop dance now.
I chose to study abroad in South Korea for a variety of reasons. This is my first time traveling outside of the United States in the last 15 years and I want to challenge myself to live and learn independently. K-Pop opened my eyes to Korean food and movies, so I became interested in the culture and customs. During my time in Seoul, I am excited to make new friends from all over the world, eat Korean food, visit fun cafes, go to music concerts, and learn more about Korean society. I can’t wait to share these new experiences on this journey with you!
