Hola a todos (Hello everyone)! My name is Sanjana, and I’m living in Pamplona, Spain this year. Pamplona is known for its famous running with the bulls festival. During this festival, people from all over the world run in front of a group of bulls and into a big bull-fighting ring. It’s a festival that shows the culture of Spain and brings together people from all over the world. I've been learning a lot about the culture of Pamplona and I'm excited to share what I've been learning with all of you.
I’m also exploring the city by going to museums and restaurants, which is something I also loved to do in my hometown of Chicago, Illinois. I was born and raised in Chicago, so I love deep dish pizza and Bears football. I went to school at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where I studied neuroscience and Spanish. I brought my science and language skills to Pamplona where I’m studying the effect of a Mediterranean diet on obesity through a Fulbright Research grant. I am excited to be able to share my journey and experiences with you! Together, we can learn all about Spain and its culture! Ànimo (Let's go)!
