Moin aus Bremen! Hello from Bremen! My name is Sarah, and I'm from Ellicott City, Maryland. It’s a diverse town between Baltimore and Washington D.C. I went to college at SUNY Geneseo in upstate New York to study history and adolescent education with a minor in German, and I just graduated this May! My dad is from Morocco and my mom is from the United States. Between my own two cultures and the many cultures my friends shared with me, I always loved to learn about new traditions!
Since I wanted to improve my German and get to know the German school system, I applied for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. I was happy to receive a grant for the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) and was lucky enough to get one to study in Bremen! I love to travel and try new things, and Bremen consists of so much to do and see! In my free time, I like to Irish dance, play guitar, and read. While here, it's very fun practicing and learning German every day. I am looking forward to sharing my experiences abroad! Bis bald! See you soon!
