Cheers! This is how Australians say goodbye to one another, and it's one of the many Australian words I've learned during my time here. Can you think of any other Australian words you've learned along the way? What about "barbie," "Macca's" or "brekkie"? Can you remember what these words mean? I've learned so much during my journey to Australia, and I hope you have learned something too, whether it's how fun traveling abroad can be, or how beautiful Australia is. Before I say goodbye, or "cheers" like a true Australian, let's take a moment to recall everything we've learned over the past few months about studying abroad.
Traveling abroad is educational and rewarding. This means that by studying abroad, you can learn about how people live differently from you. As you explore different cultures, you can experience things you might never encounter in your hometown. For example, I never would have learned to surf if I hadn't traveled to Australia. I also never would have discovered that Australia sees the moon upside down compared to the United States! Traveling abroad allows you to experience the world in a completely new way, and this is what learning is all about!
There are many different ways to travel. But travelling doesn't always have to mean leaving the United States.
