"Oi, tudo bom?" That's how you say "Hey, how are you?" in Brazilian Portuguese. My name is Sara, but here in Brazil, most people pronounce it "Sa-da." I live in Pato Branco, Brazil, which is 5,000 miles away from the Spanish 1 students that I teach in Virginia. I went to university in Virginia, too, where I studied English, Spanish, and education. Language, students and teaching are three of my favorite things. To put all of them together, I applied for a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship my senior year of college. Now, I have the opportunity to teach English to college students, learn Portuguese, and live with a Brazilian host family. I couldn't be more excited about this opportunity. Come explore Pato Branco with me!
