In turn, they produce the milk that yields the famous cheese of the region. The mountainous regions are more popular for farmers because there are fewer people there, and the pastures near Covadonga are the perfect place to let your cows roam free and graze on the wild grasses.
The only thing that can really harm this creature is if we continue to convert grazing lands into highways or resorts/hotels for tourists. As of now, I am not worried about this happening in this region, as the Asturians are very much into their natural lands and want to preserve it for future generations. So, the cows will continue to live happy and free!
