Ahoj! My name is Sasha Roter and I am from the lovely city of Albany, NY. Growing up, I always loved creative projects, from writing stories to playing the violin, and enjoyed keeping active in the best ways I could, from hiking to biking to playing soccer. I always knew I wanted to become a writer, and so decided to head to Boston to make that dream come true at Emerson College. Unfortunately, Emerson did not end up being the best fit for me, so I transferred after my freshman year to Ithaca College, a much more rural space with plentiful hippies and many, many trees. I still study creative writing, but I am also minoring in education after discovering how much I enjoy working with kids from my summer job as a camp counselor.
This year, I craved a little adventure away from my campus, and was curious to travel somewhere with a completely foreign culture to mine. For this reason, as well as many recommendations, I decided to travel to Prague! I couldn't be more excited to study in the same land as Kafka -- one of the most esteemed novelists of all time -- and hopefully gain some inspiration of my own from the extraordinary travels. I'm incredibly excited to bring you all along for the ride and hope my account inspires you to do some adventuring of your own.
