Traveler Bio

Hi all! My name is Scott Fank and I am from Boone, Iowa. I am 22 years old and just finished my electrical engineering program at Iowa State University. I've always loved learning about how things work, where they come from, and how they can be repaired when things inevitably break!

My siblings and I were homeschooled up through high school which I think contributes to me being on the more independent side of things. I grew up on a farm surrounded by corn/bean fields and enjoy mountain biking, playing volleyball, and camping. Learning to play new music I discovered on the piano, guitar, and kit drums has also been one of my favorite hobbies.

I've found a particular interest in Korean movies and music which has motivated me to study the Korean language and learn more about South Korea's culture. After independently studying Korean for almost two years, I had the opportunity to take formal language courses in South Korea. I look forward to sharing the things I encounter and learn about during my stay...let's go!
