I didn’t really travel much this week. The farthest I went was from Ikebukuro to Harajuku, which is about 7 km (4.3 miles). It took me a 15-minute subway ride.
In late September, I went to Lake Kawaguchi to see Mount Fuji. It is about 110 km (68.4 miles) from Ikebukuro. It took me 2-3 hours by bus to get there.
I live close to my university, so I walked about 20 minutes to my classes this week. I took the subway when going elsewhere.
Meiji Jingu was definitely the most interesting place I visited this week. I have been to some shrines in Tokyo, and each one is so different. Meiji Jingu made me feel very peaceful. I really liked the quiet and sacred vibe of the shrine.
I don’t really have any more news from this week, but I’m going to see Mount Fuji again this coming Monday. This time, Mount Fuji will already have snow on its peak, giving it the iconic white top. I’m excited for my one-day trip, especially after this busy week.
