Hi! My name is Siddarth (Sid) Seenivasa, and I’m from Dallas, Texas. I studied math, biology, and biostatistics, which means I use numbers to help understand health and medicine. I’ve worked on projects about mental health, especially with kids and teens, and I’m very interested in how the brain and the body's immune system work together.
This year, I’m in South India as a Fulbright-Nehru Research Scholar. I’ll be working with doctors and scientists in Chennai to create new tools that can help teachers and doctors spot signs of mental health challenges in young people. I’m especially focused on eating disorders and conditions where the immune system may affect the brain.
Outside of research, I love basketball (I’m a big Dallas Mavericks fan!), biking, and watching movies. I’m really excited to share what life is like here in India and what I’m learning during this journey.
