Traveler Bio

Hello everyone! My name is Simranjeet Sekhon (Sim-rin-jee-t Seh-khon). For the next few months, I'll be living in Swansea, Wales which is a part of the United Kingdom. During this time, I'll be telling you all about the country and its rich culture!

I'm from Fresno, California, which is typically a lot warmer than the United Kingdom and just as diverse. At my university, Fresno State, I study psychology and women's studies, and I plan on eventually becoming a professor. I wanted to study abroad because there is so much to learn from the world around us, and I took the chance to go and explore! This could only be done due to the scholarships I earned, including the Gilman Scholarship. They made studying abroad affordable!

I'm a huge fan of history, and there are a lot of places in the world that tend to be overlooked. The UK consists of four different countries, England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, but I realized I don't know much about Wales. Therefore, I wanted the chance to travel there and learn! Being in the UK gives me the opportunity to go to places all over Europe, as they aren't that far from each other.

I hope following my journey is fun and I can't wait to share my adventures with you all! Let's go!
