Singapore is reclaiming land from the sea in order to provide more living space for its people. It is also working on a system of recycling and purifying water that gets rid of 98% of all toxins and bacteria in the water. Through this system, water which was previously sewage or wastewater has been able to be put it back into the reservoir to be used as potable drinking water.
