Hi Ms. March’s class!
In Germany, there are many ways to say goodbye to someone. You can say "Tschuess, Tschau, Bis Dann," or the most well known, "Auf Wiedershen."
Our time together has come to an end. I am so happy that I have gotten to share some pieces of my travel with all of you and that you got to learn a bit more about Europe. I hope that my writings have helped encourage you to travel one day! I would have never thought that I would be living in Europe when I was your age, but anything is possible when you put your mind to it.
I hope that if you are given the chance, you also choose to travel the world. Whether it be a hike to the Matterhorn through the Swiss Alps, surfing in Portugal, or floating through the canals in Bruges, my experiences could also be yours one day.
As we have discussed before, one of the best ways to connect to other cultures is through food. As Californians, we have access to food from all different kinds of cultures. Next time your parents ask you where you’d like to go to dinner, think about trying food from a different country that you have never tried before.
People around the world are so different in many ways, but also so similar.
