My semester and our journey together is coming to an end more rapidly than I had expected. I want to thank you all for keeping your minds open and reading about my different experiences abroad.
This semester, I hope you all were able to learn something new about different European cultures and some Moroccan customs. In this time, I hope to have encouraged you to think about what life is like outside of Appomattox County. As you grow to become future leaders, it is important to take into consideration the ways other people live, whether they live across the ocean or one town over. As Audrey Hepburn would say in her song Moon River, "There's such a lot of world to see."
Traveling isn't just for people who have money. Traveling also doesn't mean just grabbing a passport and catching the next flight to France. Traveling means getting lost in unkowns with an open mind.The world is large, but there is so much to explore, and you will find home anywhere you venture!
Another thing I hope that you all take away from my journey is that you are capable of doing anything you set your mind to. With persistence, passion, kindness and perserverance, anything is possible. If you dream of exploring, do it. If you think you may not be able to, persist.
