In Budapest, it is common to have many recycling bins, each used for different materials, such as glass, paper, plastic, etc.
The city of Budapest, just as any other city in the world, has the need of trash collection. Citizens need to be able to throw away their trash, and trash collection is vital to any city. One thing I learned is that communities need a large trash pickup, which is the collection of large electronics, couches, tables, and other items not able to go into a small trash bin. In Budapest, each district has a certain day when the city will come collect these types of items. However, this service takes place for a cost. In cities outside of Budapest, there is a large electronic collection once a month.
The need for trash collection is being met. After living in Budapest for three months, I have noticed that there is not a lot of trash on the streets. The city is doing a great job in prodiving the services to keep their city clean. This in turn, provides jobs to the citizens of the country. Overall, I am impressed by the cleanliness of the streets in Budapest. In other cities that I have visited, this has not been the case. In a large metropolitan city like Budapest, trash collection is one of the most essential jobs of the city.
