Spicy and Sweet Dosas!

Introduction:

Cooking Indian foods typically involves lots of spices and oils. Indian food is usually served with a lot of rice and different types of breads. Every region of India has their special types of food as a result of the geographic location and cultural traditions. For example, one state in India is completely vegetarian, while people in another coastal state in India eat lots of fresh fish. Which would you prefer? I'd go for vegetarian!

What food did I try?:

I tried a typical Indian breakfast food called a dosa. It is basically a thin lentil and rice pancake. Sometimes it can be crispy, and other times it can be fluffy and light. There are hundreds of types of dosas, but one of the most common types is called “masala dosa,” which is a dosa made with potato, onion and spices on the inside. Dosas are served with a lentil-based vegetable stew called sambar and a mashed up coconut pulp with green chiles, which is called coconut chutney.

How did I feel when I tried it?:

When I tried my first dosa, I was ate it at a hotel I was staying at and I wasn’t that impressed. It was slightly undercooked. But a week later, I went to a restaurant and tried a masala dosa that was crispy and cooked perfectly.  I adored it.
