Bonjour! Comment ça va? (Hello, how are you?)
One thing I love about France is the food! There are so many different foods to eat and try here. No matter where I am in France, I see food everywhere, and sometimes it’s hard to decide what to eat.
Have you ever walked into a store, restaurant, bakery, or shop and couldn’t decide on what to eat or try first? Maybe you want to try something totally new, or maybe you want to try all of it.
Supermarché
I love shopping at the supermarché, which means supermarket in French, and seeing all the familiar treats and snacks from my home in the United States. I was excited to find Cheetos and chocolate bars at the supermarché.
Pâtisserie and Boulangerie
France has so many delicious foods to choose from! From freshly baked bread and croissants to cakes and colorful macarons, sometimes I want to try everything! A pâtisserie is a pastry shop where you can get all sorts of beautifully crafted cakes and desserts. A boulangerie is a bakery where you can get fresh bread and other delicious baked goods.
French Macarons
One of my favorite French things to eat in France is macarons! Macarons are small, round cookies with a creamy filling in the middle.
