The Story of the WaWa Bread

They have this tradition because they want to honor not only the ones who have passed on, but also the family that offered their space and time for the community.

Is this tradition connected to its environment? How?:

Yes! T'anta wawas, often eaten on All Saints' Day, are considered offerings to the dead, bridging the gap between the living, the deceased and Pachamama (Mother Earth). They represent the cycle of life, born from the harvest (wheat/flour) and returning to the earth.
