你好! Greetings from Kaohsiung, Taiwan. My name is Tammy and I am 23 years old. I grew up in the multicultural city of San Francisco, California. My parents immigrated from Hong Kong and China, so Cantonese is my native language. I attended the University of California, Davis to pursue a double major in sociology and Chinese. During college, I studied Mandarin abroad in Taiwan and China. I fell in love with Taiwan and applied for the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to teach English in Taiwan. Fortunately, I was accepted. I am currently an English teacher at two elementary schools in southern Taiwan.
When I am not busy teaching, I am running, reading, trying new foods, improving my Mandarin, and traveling to new places. In fact, I just came back from a three-week backpacking trip around Southeast Asia. I cannot wait to meet you all so that we can learn from one another and share new adventures!
