It’s one of the oldest and most well-known in the city, and the building itself is incredible. The inside looks more like a museum than a pool, decorated in an Art Noveau style.
Hungary’s thermal baths go back thousands of years, from Roman bathhouses to the Turkish ones built in the 1500s. What’s cool is that people still use them today to relax, meet friends, and just take a break from everyday life.
I’m getting ready to go back to Bologna next weekend for my friend’s wedding. I’m really excited to visit and see all my friends again after these first few months in Hungary. It’ll be nice to return, even just for a few days, and revisit some of my favorite places there.
Flights between European cities can be surprisingly inexpensive if you plan them early, which makes it much easier to visit friends, even when they live in other countries. It’s one of the things I really love about living here.
