The weather this week has been oddly rainy, considering the rainy season typically doesn't start until June. But, of course, it's a lot warmer here than it would be in the United States, so I can't complain too much. Plus, April showers bring May flowers!
This week, I saw lots of stray dogs and cats. This is common in my community, as there are many animals without homes, and the concept of house pets isn't as widely accepted. I also see lots of lizards. They crawl on the walls of my house, but I have grown to become used to it. They don't bother me very much. What does bother me is the giant spiders that come around from time to time. They are the size of my hand, and move very quickly. I've learned to manage them, but it's always unsettling to see one hanging out in my house. Because I live on the coast, I also get to see lots of fish and sea creatures. The fisherman often gift me sardines, and I recently got a lobster and a crab too! I think I'm going to make those for dinner sometime this week.
