Guten tag! Good day! My name is Alastornia Swift, but all of my friends call me Toni. I am 20 years old and was born and raised in Sussex County, Delaware. Back home I love going to the beach, running, exploring used bookstores and thrift shops near me, and visiting the local homemade ice cream shop, Vanderwendes. For college, I left Delaware and moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in order to study sociology and public health at Drexel University.
As an extension of my college majors, I'm very curious how societies in other countries operate. This made me want to apply to a study abroad program. Currently, I am studying at the University of Mannheim in Germany, which I take courses to satisfy my sociology degree. School in Germany is much different from the U.S. My classes only meet once a week, which leave lots of time to travel around Germany and Europe and discover even more about societies around the globe. I can't wait to share my journey with all of you and see how it impacts your world view!
