What do you value? How do you show what you value in your daily life? How do you protect that value? What does your community value? How do you know?
Students are taking action! Many student groups are concerned by the pollution they have observed in and around campus. In response, students are forming groups of like-minded people who work together to share their desire to save the environment. To engage the community, these groups hold seminars and encourage environmentally-friendly behavior with events such as “Straw-less Sunday” and “No Vehicle Thursday,” changing the culture of the community and affirming the value this community places on the environment and its preservation.
What needs do you observe in your community? How are these needs being met? What can you do to help meet these needs? You certainly don't need to be an adult to make an impact!
